hey guys, i know i'm resurrecting an old thread, but can someone here tell me how to properly set up an aftermarket grille that has no spot for the hood latch? How does one secure the hood?

I received an A/M grille (inspection style) and before I take off the stock grille, I want to know how i can make the latch work cause the new one can't have the stock hood latch connected to it. Just won't work....

Any advice/pics would be awesome!

you just take off the old 1 (i snapped off all that black plastic stuff which u need to get off to get to the bolts)

and u take off that whole latch thing and when u close the bonnet it locks and when u pop it u just lift it up theres no catch thing there

LOL someone asked me "how do you ensure that the bonnet doesn't flip up at speed?" the other day and I just pointed at the primary catch and said; You make damn sure that fucker is in good condition.
