Hey all, my calipers and moreso my hubs are looking pretty shabby at the moment, anyone painted theirs and have any tips on how they did it or what they used in terms of prep work etc?

before you start, also use a wire brush with the cleaner to get any loose rust off. Just before you spray, make sure you use some wax and grease remover just to be certain it is clean and don't forget to mask anything you don't want to paint! Very Happy

Do light coats. Avoid the temptation do get it too wet and runny. You can then do 3-4 coats.

Good luck!

Do you reckon it'd be a good idea to use some rust converter or primer on the hub before painting? I think the caliper will be okay with a brush and clean.

Now I gotta decide if I want to rice it up a notch and go with a colour or go stealth with the matt black Confused I've seen some really nice cars on LuxuryJCars with colour-matched hubs and calipers.

I did silver on mine, but I might go back to black as the silver shows the dirt and knocks.

If you wanna get really good, then yes, use a primer.
