Greetings all,
I have just purchased an Aristo and I'm loving it. However 2nd day of ownership and I had the drivers side bottom wheel well front undertray plastic decide to throw itself under the wheels on the freeway. Since this the car has developed a whistle/whine that is stupidly loud.

This noise only occurs when traveling faster than 60km/hr and sounds like a finger running around the lip of a wine glass. It's driving me nuts.

So my question is: Is anyone running without any undertrays? If so is there any noise issues?
Secondly where can I get a replacement part in the Perth Metro area?

Any help much appreciated!

something vibrating or rubbing against something maybe?? try gettn the back end off the ground (supported properly) and take it past 60kays, then get someone to look for the problem, wouldnt of thought wheel would cause the noise, but the tread on the tires does create a huge low pressure around them....which is the theory with the vents for the SMIC.....dont forget those plastic covers are also designed to channel air smoothly around the body...

try mxracer, he has a front cut atm.....everyone else that had wrecks hav gone to sims.....i wouldnt recommend driving with those plastic covers....any idea how it came loose?? (not bolted in, rubbed on wheel?)

the sound is definately wind moving thru or over some part in the front end, because when Im on the freeway if Im behind a truck the noise stops, due to the disturbed air.

Part came lose due to the front not being screwed to front bar, it was just tucked in over the top. Wind caught it and it must have folded under the wheel.

Will have to try some tempory measure this evening.

BIG thanks to Aristoman for the part and the introduction to his weapon! Awesome machine!

The readdition of the wheel well has reduced the whistle but not completely. I think the noise is due to an ill fitted front bar. It has a 1cm gap under the headlights, Ben did mention that it wasnt sitting right after FMIC install. Looks like a refit of the bar is on the cards.

Matt great to meet you too mate Smile Lethal weapon Nervous

Id say you're on the money there but with the VS kit didnt notice any of i/cooler install touching the i/cooler itself. Id think but not more bolstering the kit itself to fit close to perfect. Being fibregalss they never fit back perfect anyway.

Glad you're loving the car !
