Car is now in its hibernation period where clutch will be taken out and probally changed along with box fluid and other niceties.
Why an Aristo ? Because they spend more time off the road then on
so true owned mine for 3 years and its been on the road twice for 4 months a go since ive had it. still my favourite car which i plan to keep for many years to come. _________________

I agree the blue car i used to drive as a daily was a cracker and still is !!!!!
I think once you start going to town on them leads to problems but most if its self inflicted anyway, with big builds and general laziness _________________

Had mine over two years now, no issues at all apart from leaky water pump, brake booster and shitty balljoints/other suspension bushes that would be fucked on any 1997 car

Not an Aristo without those issues _________________

Own a '98 JZS 161. Originally purchased the car as it was unique to Australia and fell in love with it straight away. Loved the drive. The handling is fantastic as it had come with tein coilovers/strut braces.
In the next couple of years spent all my money modifying it and enjoying it when i could.
The build quality of these cars is amazing, having to drive a holden VE company car i am constantly reminded how amazing the Aristo really is. The extras that these cars came with also make them an unbeatable purchase over any locally made car. Power delivery is impressive and the fuel economy isn't that bad at all.
The thing i don't like about my car is the sat nav and TV which is all in Jap but everything else has been impressive. I haven't had any issues with it at all. Another thing that im not a big fan of (mostly with the 147) is that the car looks too long and there for, a little oversized.
1. Pretty reliable
2. Ahead of its age
3. Does not fall apart every two seconds like my 180sx did and cost me big $$$$ every pay >.<
4. People have no idea what an aristo is until I put my foot down
5. Looks pretty awesome
........and the most important feature........
THE MOTORISED STEERING WHEEL!!!!!!! _________________
So, why did you choose an Aristo?
it's different, means I'm not jumping the band wagon and getting a Silvia, Skyline or commodore/falcon like everyone else, perfect P plater car, kept hearing 2JZs were really strong engines, because they're kind of unusual they won't stand out to the cops that much if not at all, only people with knowledge know about them
What are your impressions of the car?
the cool steering wheel, everythings electric, smooth drive, well engineered, needs a big battery to run everything
What do you dislike about the car?
don't come in manual otherwise can't think of anything so far
What do you love about the car?
lots of room, not as expensive as other luxury cars
i was gonna write a paragraph why i love the JZS147 but il gonna make a point form:
1: 2JZ love the sound it makes when its opened up
2: more room for mates to jump in
3: so much power from stock
4: so much mods that i didnt think existed for these cars
5: the rarity of these cars
6: people always guessing what there cars are as its not like a normal import eg silvia, skyline, rx7, evo, supra etc
7: how comfy the ride is even on stiff ass suspesion _________________
