I thought I would post some myths I have heard about aristos/2Js
Maybe someone on here can do some mythbusters for us.

1- series one aristos are lighter then series two?

2- US standard turbos can make more power the jdm ones?

3- series one supra wheels are heavier then series two?

I am sure there are many more please comment ones you have heard or mabe there is some truth?

Mine made more in Seq than TT, same dyno, back to back. Plus drove like a pig in TT, hated it.

You would need an aftermarket ECU / retune to make the most of TT mode in my opinion.

1 - I'd say its an option thing..eg..complete povo pack..vs completely optioned up..could be a 100kg in sunroof, airbags, sub, air puri etc.. Razz

2 - Yes, due to steel wheel vs ceramic wheel..flow more, who knows?

many 500hp supras in the US using stock turbos...probably coz u can push them to higher boost levels without throwing the turbine down the dump!

true twin vs sequential....

as you can see, TT makes more power, but dynos are easy to fool....because of the big spike...power is pushed up, regardless of actual power, as the line settles, it follows an identical path as the seq, proving that the power output is the same...no mbc's, just a cat-back and pod filter....

i assume because boost comes on so hard @ 3800 (in TT) the excess pressure isnt bled quick enough, causing the spike, which causes power to shoot up temporarily.

answering the supra rim weights, it comes down wat tires u have on the rims....ive had a couple of sets of 16s and 1 set of 17s, very close in weight, the rear 17s where heavier due to much larger rubber!

One i sold ages ago was povo pack, no cruise / no airbag sensors but had an airbag wheel / all velour interior / no sunroof / open diff hahaha Thing is really decent car and still going strong and went like a cut snake.

You'd be in the top few for sure, yours an S2 aswell Nervous You'd be number 1 for later model that id know of !
