1) Next to the 4 way joystick that does the tilt & reach on your steering column, do you have a button that enables / disables the auto retract of your steering column when you turn the car off?
2) Near your side mirror retract / washer buttons, does your car have a slide switch that allows you to turn off the remote door lock / unlock function?
My car has both of these, but I have seen later model Aristo's that don't. Just trying to work out if these were options, or things that were deleted in later models?
Mine is the same as xscape's, 95 series 2 with none of these features.
One thing I wish that they did come with is the heated mirror options that the V8 soarers have, would make my commute on the freeway on these cold winter mornings a bit easier. _________________

Same as xscapes no wanky ultrasonic mirror thingmajig / but definetly has the coin holder.
Pulled apart the mirror function area to dummy fit my Profec B (which fits perfect) and noticed that they've still have all the controls for the ultrasonic mirrors and other options still connected as id reckon all i'd need is a button and they'd work no probs. _________________

They might not have changed the loom, but I doubt they left the actual window heater / shaker stuff in the mirrors - but who really knows?
mine has both of those options too..
Once i pulled off all the woodgrain sticky stuff - i found out what alot of the buttons etc say they do... _________________
95 Aristo here, I don't have the extra button on the steering, but I do have the ultrasonics/heated mirror button.
Where is the button for the ultrasonc/heated mirrors located? I can't seem to find a button that indicates this function in my car (my mirror controls section have the exact same layout as xscapes, the button to adjust the left and right mirrors along with the button to fold the mirrors in/out, is the spare spot between these two buttons where it would normally be?).
Is this a feature that was only available on series 1 jzs147s (or is yours a series 2 95 like mine PJ)?
Sorry for the thread hijack but I didn't want to start a whole new thread on it. _________________
Only available on series 1 editon Aristo's the ultrasonic function,
along with a few other controls that the series 2's dont have thankfully
The connectors are there for this feature on mine as if you take out the coin slot
and then remove the section you should have all the connectors there. _________________

Cheers for that info, I might take my coin slot out and see if the connectors/wiring are there on mine.
Are the mirrors likely to have the parts needed to perform this function as well or would it be a matter of getting a pair of series one mirrors to get it to work? I wonder why they took the function out, I mean heated/ultrasonic mirrors would be good for those cold mornings for me (a couple of times now I have thought that it would be good to be able to demist the mirrors). _________________
If your car doesn't have the switch there to control the mirror shake & heat, I doubt they would have those bits inside the mirror assemblies just for the sake of it. But the loom might not have changed, so the wiring could be there.

You'll find Toyota custom build the looms to suit the options available on the specific vehicle.
Companies like Nissan have a standard loom, and if you dont have the option, the plugs will be left hanging. With Toyota (usually), if the option wasn't on that particular vehicle, the plugs and wiring will not be either. _________________
