Just planning for when I get my Aristo....
The car will be stock so the suspension won't be lowered.
What is the ideal tire size so there isn't too much ugly gap between the wheel and fenders?
Would 18" be enough because I wouldn't want to go bigger.
If anyone has pics of Aristo's with stock suspension and rims I'd greatly appreciate the pics/links
Cheers
Just remember mate that no matter what size rims you go for you typically end up with the same rolling circumference and tyre diameter (give or take a little if the tyre store have doen their job).
So if you have the standard 16 inch rims with 225/55's or 19inch rims with 265/30's (like mine), your gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch will be the same.
Any reason you don't want to go a bit lower? Mines not silly low (I can still go pretty much anywhere, with a little caution), and it makes a huge difference to the look of the car. _________________

the bigger the rim in order to try and fill the wheel arch, remember that you've just raist the whole car that much as the hubs now sit higher... _________________

????????
Car sits the same height as the the bigger wheels, with smaller height tyres, are the same size as smaller wheels with bigger height tyres as per JV's explanation.
Using bigger wheels, is mainly for aesthetics, as it looks as though they fill the arches better.
Although when you get to 19/20 inch then you will get a bigger rolling radius, normally. _________________
You shouldnt get a bigger rolling diameter (much bigger anyways)- because you'll have to get smaller profile tyres to stop that happening...
In QLD- your allowed up go up how ever many inches in wheels you want, aslong as when u put rubber on em - the rolling diameter doesnt increase anymore then 15mm from the original rolling diameter!
Unless of course - you get the speedo recalibrated and then engineered to say its been done! _________________
