Had mine 5 years, still fixing shit. Little bit of advise, which I would have never listened to, the more stuff you just leave the fuck alone, the less the car will cost you.

Hi all,

My names Andy im 30 and live in Melbourne. I have had my 93 aristo for about 8 months now and love it. Only things i have done are service and apexi air intake. It has trd adjustable rear end not sure if thats standard or what but looks nice under there it has a team toms sticker/emblem on the boot other than that looks like a regular aristo. Should have joined up here ages ago looks like a good community with lots of answers.

1974 Mazda capella
1973 Mazda capella
1980 Mazda rx7 no mods
Now:
1979 Mazda rx7 12a extend port
1984 Mazda rx7 12a turbo
1993 Toyota Aristo (thought i better get a daily driver with class)

Cheers guys.
Ill get under there in the next couple days and get some shots of the trd adjustable dampers and a few of the car.
Yeah love my rotors i will always have one or 2 for the weekend amazing power from such a small motor but these Aristo's are so smooth and comfy and the 2j has huge potential and in stock form it is nice on fuel for daily driving and cops don't look at it twice.
I'm out in the northern suburbs.
This is great i had no idea there were more of us i should have joined the day i got the car.

Well finally found a car !!
Completely stock as a rock except for tein coil overs.
In process of doing a stereo install, complete service, also hunting some
Nice dished wheels before doing any performance upgrades.

Hi to all JZS147'ers! This is my introductory/first post ever.

My name is Peter, aka Actionman (don't ever call me Actionman if i meet u in person tho Very Happy ), no intention to confuse with Aristoman, sorry.

I'm a 29yo Industrial Designer/Design Engineer specializing in LED luminaires and product design.
I'm based in North Sydney region but work in Eastern Creek.

I've been lurking for a while and reading up a bit on the forums because i took an interest in buying an Aristo, was keen to sell the mint hyundai accent (economical shopping cart) I had (2004 model, less than 50,000ks) and buy something i could really enjoy owning/driving.

Well, i picked up my 12/94 (95?) 2jzgte Aristo with 99,000 kms last weekend and am glad to say i think i made a good choice, though it is giving me some problems which i may elaborate on in the mech' section of the forum. It's in pretty good shape 'overall', scraped through the rego process (barely, weeping oil all over engine due to rocker cover seals old/hard?, degreased day b4 inspection, lol) practically bald tyres etc), but i'm driving it, and it's cool.
Just needs some lovin' Razz

I've got very little spare time (7mth old daughter, hot wife) but what i can, i'd like to put into the Risty and become a helpful contributor to the forums, might take a while to build momentum tho'.

Aristo Goals. 550hp (flywheel, so i suppose 300+rwkw ish) stockish looking, rock solid 11 second daily driver.

Planning to get everything (essential) sorted and working well first. This includes the 100K full service and all seals that I can do at the same time, supra w/pump, alloy rad with thermo fans (it works if done right and i think my rad is shot anyway) decent black FMIC (700x200x100core), transmission shift kit, higher line pressure and trans cooler where the stock intercooler was (anyone done that?), 3.5" zorst, coilovers etc. So basically make it pretty ace as a 'stocker'....

Then, mid next year going single T using ported spa cast manifold (just because), a suitable decent t4 bb w/c turbo around 650hp with 750-1000cc injectors, overhead fuel rail and intank AM pump with stock ECU, FCD, other necessary bits, maybe a piggy back. Don't want it boosting all the time so i can still get decent economy when my right foot is in check and the tacho's below 2500rpm.... lol, fat chance.

I've owned a lot of cars over the years but the only ones worth mentioning..

Tidy car you have there, and some nice plans for it too. Looks like Nick may have some compition on reworked lights n dashes going by your job discription.

too bad nick doesnt do lights anymore he sold his last set a week or 2 back

Thanks guys,
I'm actually keen to try an Led conversion for the projector part of the headlight.
I work with a lot of high power LEDs, some up to 60watts (5000 lumens) and colour temps as low as 3000k for the real halogen look. Lol!
I think 1600lm (18watts led) per headlight would be more than enough though.
55 w halogens are only good for about 1200lm

Anywho, still need to sort the cooling issues and get the 100thou service done first

Anyone got a crackled yellow plastic headlight with good projector parts that I could mess with?

Hi all, my names Chris, live in WA, i am 57, Picked up an ARISTO a couple of weeks ago which needed some work, (replace rhr suspension arms, new wheels, new radiator, replace exhaust system and will have to paint the front bar) apart from the radiator it was all damaged from an incident the previous owner had. I have put a single 3" system on after knocking the guts out of the front cat, could not get the dump pipe off to replace that. Was hoping to take it to the plex this wednesday but am waiting on the radiator to arrive, unfortunately it has an open diff (who builds a twin turbo car with a single spinner). Car is a 96 VIP white/silver, pod filter, 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. I have a profec b to fit and also want to do a fmic. this is not a midlife crisis thing as i had a Silvia convertible a couple of years ago, i also have a 280zx in the shed with a 1uzfe between the struts which was going to get a TO4Z, this engine will soon be replaced by a 2j which will get the TO4Z, its been a very long term project..We have had a R33 skyline for the last ten years which is now up for sale as the wife decided she wanted a four door and i wanted a 2j and this car came up at the right price.
