hey all. my interior is pretty much mint. i have to go in an innovative wideband, an ebc and a boost gauge. also an emanage blue. this stuff is not for bling at all so i dont wanna butcher or ghetto-up my interior. wondering where you guys have your stuff hiddden? i would consider gutting the ashtray just leaving the door there to hide the gear when im not tuning/go through rbt. can i get some pics if you can be bothered, be much appreciated.
cheers.
looks ok. kind of a fan of recessed/flush mount though. sure ive seen a thread on some forum of a gutted ashtray that when dropped exposes 2 gauges. ashtray closed completely hidden. coppers are hitlers around my parts, love to ruin it for the mature enthusiast. a boost gauge on the dash is enough to arouse suspicion of my weird looking camry thing..lol. still gotta matt black the cooler and wind up the coils an inch or so.
the aristo ash tray is too small for a gauge but can easily hide a boost controller. emanage - if you have a long enough harness can sit in the passenger glove box. and gauges can sit neatly under a single din headunit if you already have one. if not the stocker is shit anyways so change it _________________
i was looking at doing a custom single din stereo facia in carbon or fibre glasws and mounting 3 guages under the deck and if i took out the ash tray i could add another 2 so 5 in total _________________

hey all. i found a boost gauge small enough to fit neatly inside the ashtray only visible when ashtray is open.
but ive hit a snag with running the vac line into the cabin. ive tried attaching to a coathanger and feeding through the plug where the main loom runs, and it goes in a fair way but no amount of manouvering gets it far enough in for me to see/grab it. im a bit concerned about bashing around blindly in there ive had to chase bad connections behind a dash before and its no fun.
ive also tried feeding it through the passage in the passenger guard with the same issue. so whats the trick guys? need to get the plug for a boost control siolinoide through somehow also. i was under the impression you could easily see and grab the coathanger with the glove box removed. looks like i might have to partly remove some of the stuff behind the glove box. dam jap hands is what i need:rant:
dude i had the same problem and couldn't be fk'd screwing with that side so i just went the opposite side and through the wall there. i think under the bmc or something... cant remember properly but came straight above the brake/speed paddle. so much easier. _________________
