I've ordered some pretty aggressive wheels, and as I've had a look at the rear guards - because of the location of the door, I think i'll struggle to roll/pull the guards out far enough. Has anyone here got bolt on fender flares or anything of the sort? What would you reccomend?

Cheers

ooo. I must look more into this. Thanks man.

19x9.5+22 Front
19x11+22 Rear.

On Kei Office coilovers, will be running a fair bit of camber, especially at the rear - but that said I don't want to run *too* much, as It's gonna make it difficult to keep traction. Very Happy

only be an extra inch at the back, roughly, you could get away without flares at the back!

bit of stretch, bit of camber, she'll be right!

Fronts will be easy only slight poke, 235 tyre + 2.5degree's camber should see it fit nicely

Rears depends on your tyre size and the look your after

http://www.jzs147.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11241

Thats running 19x11 +25 with 255 tyre

Would look odd with just over fenders on the rear unless you make it look tough with a big 305+ tyre

mate its not that easy ive had few cars defect in the past.......for 2-3 months you got leave it stock cause if you chamge it back after a week or so you rooted coppers keep records on that these days....your mate could loose his blue slip licence

Lol, i'm not new to yellow stickers. Wheels are least of my concerns. If I can get away with just rolling the guards I'll do it.

drdoom, I don't think you'll have trouble with those rims exactly.
It's more the size of tyre you will need to restrict yourself to to get it under the guard.

As the photos show of the similar setup, A roll and you'll be OK for rim itself, just need to make sure you don't oversize your tyre at all so it will tuck in there.

I *think* the tyres I was looking at were either 245 or 255/35 on the rear. 225 or 235/30 on the front. I think you might be right, with a little camber I should be able to get away with rolled guards.

I may have exactly what you want. I purchased a set of wide front guards from another member ,
but my car really does not require them and so they languish in a shed. Check out
http://www.jzs147.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7570
They would look a lot better on a car then in the shed.
I think they owe me $200 cost of freight from Melbourne ???
Its a little hard to tell, but they are approx 40 mls wider, but are Japanese so they look factory,
some minor rust but you will have to paint them anyway.
