Hey guys. I'm wanting to apply for the "moderately-powered turbocharged or supercharged vehicle" exemption for P-Platers in Queensland. I've only got a couple more months on my greens, but I thought I'd get the exemption instead of running the risk every time I'm in the aristo.

Anyway, one of the requirements for the exemption is a document published by the manufacturer of the specs of the car. All they need is the kerb weight (1680), and the power output (209kw), since the exemption is for cars that are under 125kw/tonne (the aristo is 124.4kw/tonne).

I can easily find the kerb weight and power output, just not from a document that is from toyota. It can be from an owners manual as well.

Can anyone lend a hand? Smile

Thanks,
Taylor.

Lol why? It's a matter of paying a small fee and submitting a document. That's all I have to do. Don't see why it's so funny

I just haven't heard about many people getting exemptions without a really good reason..

its much easier in QLD than in nsw, its just submitting a document, its not classified as high power, so 99% will get accepted, its a stupid system, but wat u gona do?? (move to perth)

Yeah. Submitted it today. Went on the toyota global website. They had PS listed but not kW. So I just attached another paper with a conversion from PS to kW. So they don't have a hissy fit over not knowing the equivalent in kW.

Should be good. $35 fee, they didn't have an issue with any of the documents. Hopefully it passes
