Just throwing an idea round here, but does anyone know someone who does machining for these sorta things? Been looking at getting an aftermarket cap for a while now but a trd one is stupidly expensive and some of the cheaper ones look ok but some others are kinda gay and cheap looking. Just got me thinking that maybe we could come up with a good design that actually has something to do with our cars and perhaps organise a group buy.

Just an idea but interested on some thoughts/feedback

Valid point bout the trd cap godfather. The greddy one Does look pretty good actually. I hadn't even considered that one. Love the 2jz no shit line in the movie but wouldn't put it on an oil cap in my car lol. What's the deal with the threaded caps. Does the thread run through the flange on the inside that the standard spring normally clips into?

The point was you could get a cap made up in Billet with whatever you wanted on the top not necessarily the old line..........Razz TTC performance in USA makes lots of different Billet items custom for 2jz's

That's what I was thinking pretty much. That if there was some design that we wanted made that perhaps a company could be approached and a group buy organized. I don't know if it would work out any cheaper in the end than going with something like the greddy one. Suppose it would all depend on numbers. That greddy one is pretty nice, I had totally forgotten bout that one. Still exxy though

I'm sure there was a member on the AUS supra forums that did just such a group buy, Have a feeling he was doing the machining himself but cart quite remember....

Yeah would be good if someone had access to a machine. I used to be able to design all different kinds of stuff in cad but whether I can still remember how to do it would be another thing lol. Would be good to be able to come up with a nice design, but whether it's cost effective might be another story. So I'm guessing it'll probably just go in the too hard basket. Anyone seen the greddy caps cheap?

There's someone on here who's sig I was reading today has access to all different CNC machines and also plastic vacuum forming hardware.

Was apparently in the process of making up some stereo surrounds - Might be worthwhile asking him about the number plate garnishes?
