Its called practicality and Supra 17s might not be to everyone's taste looks wise but they make up for it in fitment and cheap tyres being 17's.
Thanks Sash yours are bloody nice those Supra 17s
Sotiri will look for fat 295 rear shot of my 17's
Jamie I almost fainted when I opened up the packaging, and after a spit and polish, holy geeezus I could see my teeth in the reflection they came up so well.

Ive been driving around for months with my 19" tastefully fitting rims running 305 wide tread on the rear and the cops have not looked at me once...... And the whole time I haven't been looking like plain Jane from over the back fence.....

Check my build thread mate, plenty of pics in there.
yeah saw it - was hoping for a low down rear end shot lol
That's harder to get than you think.... Need to be a fair distance back and have a decent camera and good lighting... Which is why I haven't bothered yet, they look small to me when I look at them now anyway so I kind of got over it. _________________

Couldn't you use the JZA80 full tap coilovers ? surely the adjustment range of those would bring the shock length back to a decent height
No because the adjustment is the other way towards full slammed.
Aristo and supra coilovers both cost the same and are just as readily available so why waste time with jza80 coilies.
how low are we talking here like sparksvile _________________

sway bars? fronts no back yes only if you change sub frame aswell
diffs? yes
auto boxes? yes but needs the 3 bolt flange put in for the aristo
FMIC kits? no
etc
with the subframe swap - i think i read somewhere the jza80 was identical to jzs147 but with more bracing?
is it a straight swap? supra subframe into aristo? then just have to source supra sway bar?
jza80 subframe has extra bracing.....you could also brace the 147 subframe easy.......its a straight swap,,,,,,,have to use jza80 rear sway bar as mounts to the sub frame aristo rear sway bar mounts to the arse _________________

The supra rear subframe fits but you must fit the shorter supra lca's. The supra subframe has extra bracing and is wider at the rear control arm points to accommodate the shorter arms.
The supra lca's have the sway bar link mounting points facing parralel not across like the aristo mounting points so you'll need supra sway bar links.
You could use a supra rear sway bar if you switched to supra rear subframe mounts and brackets which have the sway bay mounting points on the them. This can be done without having to swap subframes.
Having said all this my late 95 series 2 aristo has extra bracing on the subframe much like the supra item but not as beefy and the lca's are same as the earlier aristos obviously.
Supra type sway bars maybe shorter and straighter but are 2-4mm thinner than aristo type, not sure if they are any better.
