CTS wont, theres a chance the iacv could be, only if it cant control its own function though (i.e. if its opening and closing randomly) but dont really think its big enough to cause hesitation...

...because the ecu is map based not AFM based i dont think it would cause erratic performance...

did they flush the lines/rail/fuel filter/injectors??

Ressurecting a very old thread! I have the exact same issues as op. Ive narrowed it down to the fuel pump ecu. Ive done the 12v mod a fair while ago and also have a new pump filter and recently cleaned and flow matched injectors. I tested the pins on the pump relay to ground. On the green wire going to the fuel pump ecu which you split to run through the relay, im only getting 11.6volts on the plug side of the split!!! On the other side im getting mid 12 volts. Ive wriggled the plug at idle and swapped relays abd relugged the wires. No avail.
My afrs go lean due to the low voltage hence fuel starvation

anyone had a fuel pump ecu go on them?

Tl:dr I have low voltage 11.6volts on pin 85. The rest are 12.8volts

Ive not had this happen, would be good to see what the issue is/was.

Things I would check.

- Coilpacks (they cause misfiring issues under load)
- Sparkplugs are clean
- Igniter
- MAP sensor and all vac lines (if there is a vac leak, ECU wont see correct boost levels and you will misfire/ping)
- OXY sensor
- Injector wiring and check for ticking on each one
- Fuel filter/pump

That's pretty much the whole car.. but these things need to be checked.

You also need to check for silly things like, intercooler piping is clean, no oil in it.. Air filter is clean and DRY. (if your pod filter/panel filter is wet the car will run like shit and misfire) Exhaust blockages, sometimes the shitty cats from compliance fall apart and block the exhaust. Aaaaand clean fuel.

That's all I can think of. Check those things first and then if not fixed you can delve into the electrical bastardry of this car.

ull always get a decent voltage drop, small wires, goin through 100 relays, fuses, transistors, magic boxes, etc...

theres a thread on supraforums that i think 'fetish' regarding the 12v mod and the actual voltages the stock system has, then once the 12v mod is done the new voltages, was surprising to see how much voltage was lost through the ecus and all the wiring etc.!

Thanks a heap. Ill check all of these.

I pulled the error codes and got 7,8,14. Throttle position sensor, intake air temp, and map sensor.

All hoses and gaskets are new in the engine bay. Checked for leaks, got nothin.

Ill just go through and do process of elimination. Oxy sensor is arriving soon. Cleaned the iacv today and made no difference. So thats ticked off the list. Same with sparkplugs. I double heatshrinked my coilpacks cause they had hairline cracks. Pretty sure that would insulate it well enough? Im getting loud ticking coming from the injector area. They were microsonic cleaned and flow matched recently, replaced orings. Yet to check the wiring for them

anyone actually find out what the issue was? If i take off turning a corner even slowly the car dies and comes good, boosts ok at 14psi, runs fine and idles. Just has a loss of power but very random??
