nope theres no real relation between them, im running a 19x9.5 15p offset in the rear, if this offset changed to 35p (still with a 9.5 wide rim), i would have to roll my rear guards to tuck the rims under.

that would move the wheel 20mm IN towards the car if I am not mistaken? The closer to 0 offset you are the closer the hub is to the center of the wheel, bigger positive number is closer to the outside edge, and a bigger -ve number is towards the inside edge with insane dish. _________________

there is a direct relation dude.
offset is the measurement of the distance between the centre of the rim and the mounting face.
if 18x9 +30 was perfectly fush with the guard, so will be 18x10 + 43
(but you'll require another inch of space on the inside towards the strut)
