Hey guys,
I didn't know whether to throw this in performance, mechanical or aesthetics, but essentially it's to do with how the thing looks so here goes...
Anyway, my question is, what is the cheapest possible way to dump an Aristo? Obviously coilovers are great at what they do, but you're potentially up for $2000+ for a decent set new, and even $900+ for second handies. Are there any other options? Are there "super low" type springs available for these babies, or are Aristo owners usually cashed up, making the market for budget upgrades somewhat redundant? I know what kind of feel you want from the vehicle is important in this decision too, but just say from a purely photographic view.... what's the cheapest way to go?
Oh yeah, don't bother suggesting cutting springs either, lol. We all know that's the cheapest way, but I'm talking the next best, possible the cheapest legal way.
Did a search, but most people seem to be just suggesting what type of coilover to get...
Noticed that on Import Monster the RSR Ti2000 springs seem to be a fairly popular choice. Some bloke had a used set for sale, that were from an Aristo, and had a picture with it. Seemed to be a fairly tasteful ride height, without fearing even the smallest divits in the road.
check out my members ride thread to check ride height
they ride ok... no where near as floaty as stock... would need to be coupled with upgraded shocks to complete it... but i'm upgrading to coilovers... the rear sits about 2 inches too high for me.. _________________
Hmm, I see what you mean, they do leave it still fairly high. I guess second hand coilovers might actually be the way to go on this one if you want to do it cheaply...
