if you want to tuck rim and have the kit i would say 20s. 18s are too small regardless on aristos i think.

i dont think the tyre is that narrow on the black aristo. i reckon it may be the low sidewall accentuating things more if anything. if you look at my S13 in Members Rides section i have 235/40 on 10.5 and 225/35 on 9.5 and they are ugly ass Federals that dont look nice stretched and run wide for their size. Looking through the japs magazines etc they seem to like 35 or 30 series tyres, so that Aristo probably has 235/30s or something on 10s, in a nice stretchy brand of tyre.

that black one in its guts looks like it has about a 215 on a 10" rim. there is about 10mm of wheel lip unprotected by the tyre, which is taking the whole stretch thing a bit far IMO. but at the end of the day, at least you know it will fit. my motto has always been make the car fit the wheels, so i say go for it!

Yeah the stretch is a bit too extreme, but if i have to do it to make it fit i guess that's how it's gonna be. Funny, my motto was always get wheels to fit the car so i wouldn't have to do much fender mods, Oh well Smile

my approach for the aristo is going to be - if they dont fit stretch tyres to max daily driveable -> stil dont fit, increase camber haha Cool

this is our aristo (excuse the need of a clean) with 18*9.5 thruxtons, with 265 width tyres, cant remember the profile, think around 35 or 40. personally not a big fan of the hell stretched look, but we've always been more into the performance side of things. tried the 20*10's, but the offset would need guard work to fit, and couldn't justify it for an extra half an inch. the car handled like it was on rails, which was great. wouldn't really want much more than that, other than drop the back a bit more.

unfortunately, when we bought the car off dad, we couldn't afford the extra, so he kept the mags to go on his mk4 supra, so the aristo is now on turbo mk4 16*8's and 9's. doesn't look bad, but it's just not the same, haha.
