So, was racking my brains today, and remember seeing a JZS147 aristo with a JZS161 front on it as a pace car at a drift battle day over here. Was wondering if anyone has thought about this and/or done it and if anyone knows if its almost a bolt on (like silvia/180sx nose swaps) or whether we are are talking selling a left testicle to a panelbeater in order to get it done?

looks flipping cool, and seeing as theres alot of aftermarket parts available for JZS161 then that would be super sweet. just think... CUSTOM HEADLIGHTS Razz

anyway let me know your 2c.

i might be going way too far here, but what about a supra front on an aristo.. how freaking cool would that be?

I for one actually prefer the JZS147 front end over both the supra and the JZS161. Well, at least my front end anyway.

I doubt the conversion will be a bolt on affair (or else it would be more popular) but anything can be done with a skilled panel beater and money.

There is somebody on here who has a JZS147 with JZS161 tail lights, which I have to say is mighty cool.

seeing as i have a mate with a jza80 supra, i might see if the bonnets swap over, as modding a bumper isnt too bad, but modding the heck out of guards and bonnets.. now were getting expensive.

yeah - i kinda dont think the supra bonnet would just swap over and fit...

Pics of a Supra and Aristo..
I think a JZA80 front on a JZS147 would look a lil weird!!

I found this one on bodykitforums.com

http://www.bodykitforums.com/photoplog/file.php?n=571&w=o

It's a scan of the wide body conversion that also changes the front end, at first I didn't even know it was a 147.

i saw a 147 with 161 lights moulded into the lower section of the front bar. Looked, well... different.

IMO dont bother. Just get a bonnet (like my Aristo had - IMC) or some crazy headlight covers.

i know the guy that did that conversion you saw at the drifting, he said it was a freakin mission, and would never do it again. on that note, it was all done in metal, not fibreglass or bog, so was a lot of work...

frankly, i prefer the 147 front end, just want some nicer headlights, same design, just glass, the plastic faded look bugs me...
