hey guys, just wondering what people with airbag steering wheels do for something different? ours is starting to rub off, and looking rather crap. do mk4 supra steering wheels bolt in place, and cruise control still work? _________________

i always wondered how you changed it without it going off in your face?
mine on my Aristo is also quite peeled and scratched etc, it and the gear stick are about the only 2 blemishes in the whole interior so i would like to change them. Knob is easy but the wheel i dont know wtf to do with??

wouldnt pulling the Engine fuse out / disconnecting the battery prevent the airbag from releasing? _________________

good point..im not sure though? i guess d/c battery would but then you'd want to make sure you hook it all up right otherwise it might go off or throw some error light or something when you hook it all back up haha

yea fruck that for a joke.. thats the main reason i hate airbag cars.. nobody ever seems to know how to work around the bastards without setting them off. _________________

disconnecting the battery doesnt always work. 99% of the time it does however there is still a slight charge left in the cabling and it can let go from it. trust me ive done it in training at work lol. scares the shit out of you when it goes off lol _________________
