thinking of tinting the tail lights on my risto so I chucked up a mock image to see how it would look.

Thought id do it differently and leave the reversing lights untinted, and only mask the brake / indicator lights.

Personally I like it, im just not completely sure how to go about it.

My research has brought me across a product called VHT Nightshades.
its a clear black paint that a few people have been using to achieve a tinted effect on their tail lights.

theres a guide here that explains how you should use it...

http://www.corrado-club.ca/mods/tailtints.html

seems a bit risky, if I bugger it up i'm up for a new set of tail lights which is a couple of hundred down the drain.

just wondering if anyone knows any other way to tint your taillights...

i.e tape adhesive etc..

what do you guys think?

edit:

oh yeah does anyone know how to remove the "aristo" in the centre.
i.e is it part of the mould or glued on?

another option is to get tinted covers such as the Hiro covers:

I think leaving the reverse lights untinted looks great Smile

and the "Aristo" writing is part of the light assembly, cannot be removed

i know that some people just open up the lights up and use some black paint stuff that autobarn sells(dont know the name but i know its not normal black spray paint lol) to paint the inside of the lights. so like tint it from the inside so you dont have to sand the outside down and what not.

forsaken around how much do thoes cover things cost?? any idea

According to your wife, that's not the only thing letting you down at your age.
Oh Snap
