QIWI - you didnt say the offsets on the front, but thats some fucking intense wheels. you will need some serious stretch on the tyres not to mention a fair amount of camber, along with fully custom flared guards. the only way to really do it would be to decide how much stretch you want on the tyres, fit those, then decide how much camber you are willing to run, get that setup, then put the wheel on and see where you are at. problem is the guards will probably just sit on the wheels and you wont really know how much they could tuck in. You'll need to go real wide though on the flaring. I would try and get a body shop to do the flares from metal, at least at the back. you wont really be able to just flare your current guards cause theyll look shit like a verandah cause there probably wont be enough metal to shape nicely. You'll need to either get them flared out and snipped around their radius so they kind of fan out, and then get them smoothed and glassed over (and then be careful with them) or just get the standard guard metal cut out or added on to so they have more material to work with and can get a nice shape. Or like you say, buy some universal type flares and either bolt them on or get them moulded into the bodywork, again though the paint may crack. custom metal is the best bet but aint gonna be cheap!
Thanks mate I do know what you are saying. We had the 12's on and then had a good think about how we would do it. I think from memory that the fronts are -5. Even the fronts have about 130mm of dish. It will be just the family car at the end of the day but I still want it to look good. Im loking at some flares at the moment but I dont think even they will fit lol. I'll see how much time I have and go from there. Thanks for the help guys. Will keep you updated.

have you looked to see if the offset is best suited to the car?, ive seen the same width rims stick out too far and it was just a matter of changing offset to get them under the guards. IMHO, talk to a wheel shop that knows their shyte.. not someone who just sells mags. you may have to go more expensive rims to get the correct offset. _________________

^ proper....im jealous bought my rims brand spanking but couldnt go more aggressive cause i couldnt afford/didnt want to get my guards all hammered flat and have to repaint all my quarter panels damn thick metal lexus.
my rims from memory only have like 64mm front and 89mm out back, but they are stepped lips
QIWI - you should be able to get some flares that'll do it, but theyd need to be probably 30-40mm or so depending on stretch and camber. good luck with it! haha

They are second hand from Japan as I buy quite a few sets out of there. Got this set when I was over there last. I just thought it was a waste to sell 12" rims when I own a big car now lol. Looking at some 90mm bolt on universal flares. Still havent decided what Im going to do yet.

Yeah they're tough jap 2-piece rims. The rears are 17x9 +17 which is pretty nice, but the fronts are 17x8 +8 (they stick out a little too far & I don't want flared fronts and standard rears lol). I'm either thinking of getting the hubs machined to 17+ or swapping the faces from front to rear. I'm stuck on what to do...

well, just based on my rims on my JZS160 (And JZS147 have more room if anything) id say you'll be fine, theyre pretty narrow rims.
I have 9" +27 up front with -2 camber and 235/35s and its a bit sunken. i could go a fair amount less offset, like 10mm more at least. Your 8" +8 will sit 6mm further out than my 9 +27 so that'll be no problem at all.
I have 10" +24 up back, and your 17x9 +17 will be 6mm further in than mine. i have 245/35s and -2.1 camber and with guards rolled flat it fits nice. If i could have rolled the guards more or shaved them i could fit probably another 10mm of offset up back too with a little more camber.
All in all i reckon they'll both fit fine. if you went a bit less stretch or bit less camber up back itd look even, or even as is i reckon it'll be okay.

Yeah I read that post on here about cooking them in the oven but Im not brave enough for that lol. The car should get painted in a few weeks to a charcoal and then put on the meisters. So basically the car you see will be gone lol.
