I don't think they're closing down totally, Trust USA is still fine apparently... more like a 'restructuring'... if anything, they'll probably put prices up.

Just a quick resurection of this thread.

I have ordered an 'LS' kit from Japland, through a contact there. I refuse to pay $900 plus for one of these things, only to have to wait 6-8 weeks for it to arrive via ship. Now that the dollar has gone up, these things are a ridiculous price! I should have taken my own advise and purchased one back in August. I ordered one a few weeks ago form Autobarn for $710- and after a week they said it was actually going to cost $1250-!!!! I promptly got my money back. Very Happy

So the bottom line is, around $900- via EMS. Nervous Sad
Yes, I am mad, as in silly, but when you consider the exchange rate, the kit costs about AU$500- to AU$600- in Japan. So shipping etc to Australia, within 2 weeks or so is good enough for me. Places like Nengun are now asking just under $1000- for it. Suprised

Chris

Pretty depressing hey. I was always planning on getting the Greddy kit because its a good bit of gear and was a good price. With that price i rekon it would be worth going down the ebay cooler route, even if i got custom made piping it would be cheaper

Yeah I've been counting my pennies.. would be right about time to get one now, except the price is gone through the roof. It's looking like I'm going to wait another 6months for the dollar to climb back up a bit. (Hopefully?)

Unfortunatley with any cooler kit you'll have to trim the bumper up doesnt matter which style Greddy / BLITZ / HKS / KKR / Ebay jobbie.

And be prepared to remove the bumper numerous times to get the ideal fitment too.

there's not heaps to trim with the greddy kit, this is how mine turned out

the metal reo is untouched, as is the black grille, i just had to take out some of the plastic on the bumper around the end tanks, and i just sat the grille on top and held it in with longer screws
