Here is a pic of mine. I sprayed the gap filler stuff you buy in a can on the plastic for the speaker grill and moulded it to suit the curve of the dash. Then fibreglassed over it. I would try and have it trimmed because it will look alot better than paint

Stower, that is fucking great! If you could get someone to whip out 10-20 of those in fibreglass (or wet-look real Carbon Fibre, mmm yummy CF) you'd have plenty of buyers I reckon.
Hmmm, i dont like it, no offense or anything, in my opinion it just to 'In Yo face' sorta thing, i want my boost gauge to be usable, but subtle , like in my gz20, i extended the dash towards the drivers pillar using fiberglass and made an enclosure that blended into the dash really well, unfortunately, it was destroyed trying to get the gauge back out!
I like the craftsmanship, anyone who can work fiberglass is pretty talented, but in my opinion it just protrudes out from the dash too much, sorta wrecks the VIPPER look.
I wanted to mount my turbo timer in the coin box, subtle, but usable!

Thanks for the kind words guys.Well the first time i did it, it failed because i used styrofoam and it just melted it away. But when i got the second attempt right it didnt take to long to get right. The worst part was filling and sanding it so it wouldnt show up when i had it trimmed. i think all up it took me the whole weekend to do.
Warfare,
I have just ordered some carbon fibre for my supra for another project so maybe if i have the time i may have a go at one in CF and make a few more in fibreglass.
Woggin,
I see what you mean, i tried to match the slope of the dash as best i could so it wouldnt stick out as much. I thought that since my centre speaker wasnt in use i may aswel make use of the hole.
Oday,
Sorry for a bit of a thread hijack here but personally if you are going to put gauges up there try and make it as small as possible and keeping with the lines of the dash. So it doesent look to out of place. How many gauges are you planning on putting up there?
