My brother has 245/40r18's on his 10's and it looks FUCKING stupid. Leave stretched tyres to the 4 cylinder ricers.

*nods*

I'm ripping the stretched tyres of my trafficstars today actually.. They've done buggerall like 5000kms and the sidewalls are warping and everything.

I need to run a tiny bit of stretch to clear guards but nothing stancenation would approve of these days.

Stretch = bad idea for dailies. Period. If you have a showcar and/or are having difficulties with fitting inside the guards on a VERY lowered vehicle, I see reason for it.. elsewhere it's just not practical.

AND If your running decent power numbers, you'll spend a lot of time with your TRC going crazy. I run 265's and want to go bigger on the next set, just a shame on the price

I'm gonna have my supra 17's widened to 11-11.5 and try 305-315's even if I have to have my guards flared a little, I drive around with grampa spec ride height.

My brother is having his car resprayed at the moment and refused to listen to me and have his guards fully flared to fit his 18x10's +35 with 295's now his gonna have trouble tucking them in. He ws concerned that his car would look odd when he switches back supra 17's.

Stretch Tyres are shit looking and shit performing it greatly reduces the Sidewall flex on ya tyres on heavy cornering Thus decreasing performance, and if stretched to far can lead to unwanted and excessive Gutter rash!!! cause ya rim lips sit so far out the may as well be running in the gutter anyway!!!!!

You only get Gutter Rash if you can't drive... If you're still hitting things with your tyres/rims then stick with stockies til you learn to drive/park without scraping them! >_<

But they are poo for performance indeed. I understand when you're trying to achieve a look they're fine and in some cases actually required to get the rim to sit right.. but they're not for street use! Same with excessive camber..

Mad, I wish I could afford re55's love the aggressive tread pattern but they wear like mofo's.
