That still makes no sense. They will insure a car which legally should not be on the road. Does that mean if I put a nitro v8 in my endure bike they would insure it to Very Happy
I could insure it for 20k Very Happy

Any "legal" mods you will find in the T&Cs.

It's time to renew the Aristo insurance so I've been having a look around. The previous year I've been with Just Cars and the renewal quote is $1200. I got a quote online with Shannon's, $15k value, 26 year old driver, driving 1-2 times a week, kept in a locked garage with alarm, no finance and >$5k engine mods and suspension mods selected. $2600 Suprised And here I was thinking it'd be under $1k. Looks like I'll be sticking with Just Cars and hope I never have to make a claim!

You either live in the ghetto or you have a shady driver/claim history.

Yeah it's an odd one. The area seems pretty good to me, mostly retired people, nothing ever happens here. Have never made a claim or had a car stolen or broken into and have a totally clean driving record, never even had a fine. Something doesn't add up. I'll give them a call later to see if I can get some clues.

ive worked in insurance before its even if you havent made claims or anything and the area is fine its all got to do with your postcode and how many people make claims in the postcode your car is insured in if alot of car break-ins, stolen, vadiziled etc in that similar postcode then your cover sky rockets

I called Shannons and had a good chat with the guy. Am now insured with them for $800 a year. So I guess the moral is don't waste your time with online quotes!
