i bought a 1995 aristo auto , the following mods: stainless manifold and dump pipe single turbo garret gt3540, g Reddy FMIC , BMC pod filter , Apex avc-r controller set on 0.60 bar and only got 170kw at the wheels doesnt sound right what are some good twicks i can do to go better i know i can get ecu just havent got that much money at the moment unless i can find a second hand one and suggestions people what to do , and i always run 98 octain

Confused my stock as a rock aristo makes 185kw with just a pod filter and cannon tips with stock twins i thought a single would easily make near 300kw plus and higher

i thought i would get over 200kw easy but needed a after market ecu of i wanted to go 300kw so i dyno if there is any thing wrong or some thing

i would think so too i dont call myself a expert in power but there is many members on here that can guide you in the right direction i know i have been given a recipe to get 240-260kw with my stock twins im sure they can give you a recipe that will get to your goals aswell Very Happy

btw are you running any sort of transmission oil cooler or a shift kit?

with all those goodies even on a stock ecu you should be seeing abit more then that 170rwkw........something is up there.............you can run up to 14.5 psi before you hit boost cut on the stock ecu

you really should invest in a transmission cooler at least under $50 you get one of ebay.....................i dare maybe low comp engine,cracked exhaust manifold or exhaust leak

I can't find any cooler only one I have found is 850$$

are you talking about an oil cooler for the engine Confused im talking about a transmisson cooler for ypour auto champ stock unit is useless once your pushing the car................but here what you need for an engine oil cooler ive get it all from summit racing.com .............this is the set up i have

b&M super cooler 4120 deliverd
earls oil filter by-pass part number 1178ERL for under 460 deliverd
a remote oil filter under $60
oil cooler thremostat $140
some s/s braided line or push on fittings under $80

.6 bar is feck all, turbo is still asleep at that boost level!!

could be a low reading dyno, id expect power to rise very quickly with a lil more boost! could be very dirty rich too!


trans cooler 120 buxs from supercheap! another 10buxs for another meter of 3/8 trans hose, job done!

not being rude but super dont really stock hi end quailty parts...........i swear by these b&M coolers best cooler you can get......use it as a engine oil cooler or a transmission fluid cooler

0.60 Bar is only 8.7psi

There is your issue

Up to 14psi and then see what power its making, should make ~230/240rwk on 14psi

Found the problem had a very split hose near the turbo from the exhaust .alll fix up and now holly crap it flys.

I would assume it was a split vacuum/boost hose caused by radiant heat from the exhaust, not a hole in the exhaust itself.

Gonna be re dyno soon , and in the process of getting a Ecu for it just seeing what's best so the air con and auto runs fine

do you want to go piggyback, or full standalone?

theres that imec for sale atm, killer ecu, just a stock remapped ecu, i got a toms remapped ecu and boy oh boy is it aggressive wen u get ya foot in it, settles down wen u do too, aircon works beautifully too! (actually mines pretty crap, but u get that)
