Just wondering if disconnecting the battery and leaving it this way for a length of time lets say a few days, will this affect aftermarket alarms? I know I will lose radio stations which I am not concerned about but not sure if aftermarket alarms will require reprogramming after losing power for a few days??

Your alarm would not need reprogramming. It however won't work whilst you have no power.

DO IT...all the time if the car gets a "sit session" from the wife...? Smiley

I have battery back up on my alarm. so just use a "key" to lock the siren from going off when pulling battery leads..! this don't hurt the car bloke... Smile in fact helps....resets the ECU ...and gets rid of any stored "gremlins" in it !!

but yes......will have to do the head unit re-set / clock / turbo timer ect...! Very Happy
