my wheels sit like that now with my ride height and im on 9 +27 10 +24! but its all relative...

as for tyre sizes, well you wont need any stretch to fit those sizes and offsets so you can almost go as meaty as you want to. id tend to agree on the 235 / 265 thing since the bigger the tyre the more itll fill up the guard too which is a good thing when offsets arent too aggressive.

Sorry to raise the dead guys, just wondering if anyone knows of anyone running 18 inch XR8 wheels on a 147? Got a guy wanting to give me real good cash for my wheels and his XR8 rims but have no idea what they will look like. All else fails they can go on the Hiace lol.

I am pretty clueless when it comes to offsets etc etc ....

will 20" rims fit on an aristo? what offsets would the rims need to be?

I am looking to fill the guards of my vehicle more withouth lowering it too much because the kit i have is VIP and its too low already.....

any input would be appreciated.

thx

.... Suprised

sorry man might wanna read this thread, or any of them about wheels.

yah dude 20" inch fit easy as

As to the offsets - how wide do you wanna go, you can get shithouse ford 20" x 8 or 8.5 at about 38+et and they will fit and be perfectly fine.

if you dont want to lower it you can go as wide and low (offset wise) as you want.

id recomment 10 as a minimum for the rear and 8.5 as a minimum for the front.

offsets would be MAX for the front 35+ (the lower that number ... the fatter the offset)
and for the rear, MAX 40+

thanks firstround!

Now its just a matter of finding the right rims!

I would also have to get my speedo re-calibrated too right?

When you go 10+ inches you'd be suprised how well +40 to +50 offset sits. I'm dreaming of some 18x11's but finding anything with ~+40 offset that wide is hard (expensive). even with this tame offset you'd have to roll the guards. I wouldn't run woosy 235/255 with em either, it would have to be 285/295's.

My 9.5's +36 with 275/40's seem too narrow to me but still manage to rub the outer guards mind you they're MT's. Been looking at wide tyres too long and now anything smaller than 255's look like echo/corolla spec to me.

The S1's look smaller because of the step-lip... but still looks tough as Smile might be cambered in a bit much if you go lower though.
