shall go out and take a pic of the blue control panel, however, as I am working on making sure my Beatsonic thing is working, I have not got it in the console as yet.

Usually it is the reg that has caused this, very common on aristos it seems.

The motor still works, but it was just jammed. I diagnosed it... The jammage was due to someone putting wire through the bottom part of the window/bracket to hold it up.

The little stud thing in the middle of the cable that goes up and down, is on the wrong side of the part that the cable goes through on the bracket, if you know what I mean... Its above instead of below, so the window just falls down because it cant rest on this stud. Something that I cant fix, so I put some wire through the bracket again and tensioned it to keep it up. lol. I might take it somewhere to get fixed when I have some cash, but for now I just have to put up with not being able to use my window.

I'm actually leaning towards white myself. I guess I won't make up my mind completely until my car is back on the road and I spend some time driving it at night. I also might try blue LED's in the gear selector. Anyway, I think it still looks 100% over the green!!!!

Yes I agree. Let me know if you find one that'll fit.

I have to get my car going first anyway!

ok guys an update on my dash

and btw guys it's not hard to change the lcd backlight so I have included
some pics to help describe the procedure

This is the switch for the pwr/eco but the principle is the same as for the lcd
remove the light/holder

Pull the original bulb out of it's holder you will have to bend the metal arms on
the bulb and straighten them out in oreder to pull it out.
Then using a 3mm led of your own colour choice, and solder on a resistor.

Then you put the led/resistor back into the original holder and twist the wire back
around so it looks like an original light again. Then just reinsert into the socket and your done.

Ok

now some more pics of my car
I stated with the gear selector and pulled out the red leds and
replaced them with 3mm blue leds no resistor was necessary as the circuit
was built already for leds

Then I did the climate control selector leds
The factory ones were rectangular but "TheyDontWantMusic" said normal ones
would be fine. I again used 3mm leds and soldered them straight to the board.
I didn't used the original plastic spacer as it is not needed.

and the end result is just awesome Very Happy

just curious if you can actually read the display on your CD player at all?

It looks rather hard, but I know that the eye sees much better IRL

yeah I can see it real easy
it's hard for the camera to capture it though somtimes
here is a daytime shot of it so the lights aren't as bright and the camera
was able to pick it up easily

OK. I ditched the blue ones I had cos they were a different colour blue to the head unit and I think it actually looked more odd than with the original green.

I have gone with white and I like. I am not going to bother with changing the original LED's in the climate contol unit either. I think they look alright. The pic obviously isn't the best cos it has trounble getting an even reading. But you get the idea. I also took the opportunity in taking a pic of the dash at night.
