hey guys, got a few vids up from whoop ass wednesday here in perth.
since the shift kit has been installed its VERY hard to get traction when it chirps into 2nd. i have to lift off everytime or ide be ending up smacking into the wall. i think its cause the gear changes so quick that the chirp that initiates the wheel spin causes even more loss of traction when the power goes on. errr, i think that makes sense...? im sure you get what i mean!

very nice mate.

Heres a tip for you... dont do such big burnouts. Although it looks good, street tyres are not designed to stick better when super hot. The only way you'll get them to stick more is to do a big skid passed the start line and roll back over the rubber tracks. Which is exaclty what top drag cars do.

Cheers
Ben

Looks good mate,
You seemed to be getting off the line quite well?
Were you stalling the car up on the line?

spyder, i know how to drag race. if you roll over water which they spray over the start where ppl do burnouts the water sticks to your tyres and is worse! when you do a burn out the tyres are hot and evapourate the water off the tyres. i know street tyres arent better when they are hot, but they arent better when wet either. if you look close at most drag strips, they dont let u do burnouts pass the the actual place where they spray the water. heaps of ppl were trying to do that and they got told to reverse out and wait in line again.

only stalled it up to 2000rpm but yeah the 2nd video verusing the m3 was an awesome launch, loved the commentator "ooooooooooo" but seriously i gave up on doing a good time

word of advice: when you cant get traction, DO a burnout Very Happy haha

Should be able to be the fastest stock twin turbo Aristo in Australia i would say?

btw im a very big fan of your burnouts Very Happy

Edit: Just saw your second video, your right when you say you have no traction! Quite a beast you have there now, the shift kit seems awesome.

that white had flared guards, when i say flared, i wasnt kidding, it was like 50cm out on each arch. it had the numberplates 20Vmini or somethign like that? so im guessing it was a 20v 1.6L 4AGE.

yeah chirps into third.. all that tyre squeeling is from me! lol!! Eeek Dance
pretty hairy tho. i thought the track woulda been stickier but it aint! Sad
i can take you for a spin miggy, but after this double demerit point season!

ooowww that would be really good, i would love to feel how this thing goes and if you have time it might be worth going to the drags on Friday where they prep the track. Traction shouldnt be so much of an issue then.

this thing goes farken hard...if someone had no idea of the torque of this thing they would swear you were about to do a water pump the squealing all the way up the strip. torque monsters. you got the launch down pretty well esp with that M3..looked like he was rolling backward. when we went for a spin this sucker shifts so hard and can feel the car squirm in the rear. looks you have the idea, just need some M/T and could be getting better ETs possibly. Very Happy Eeek Dance
