hi all

basically im looking for ideas/suggestions for what to do with my front bar now that i have a FMIC and dont have the black plastic stuff to fill the gap

the old man suggested that metal diamond pattern mesh from supercheap but i dont know if it will just look cheap and tacky

a guy i work with suggested making up a fibreglass insert for each side of the bar to cover up the piping but still leave the IC exposed to the air.....with the insert i would probably put another driving/fog/spot light in each side and might even do some CAI

option 1 is cheap, easy but could look shit house
option 2 will be hard as fcuk to do and alot more expensive and it means ill have the bar off the car for alot longer....but would look awesome

im thinking about getting some decent quality black kinda heat resistant rubber from clark rubber and laying it horizontally on the inside beside the ic so wen you look at it part ic is covered by #plates and hte piping is covered by the rubber. and just neatly zip tie it or something ....... cheap and well beta then shit mesh.

mite be beta explained if i just did it and posted some pics up.... Very Happy

This has always been on my mind when thinking about chucking a front mount on....

I wouldnt want an aftermarket bar as I like the look of my Aristo how it is (wheels and dumped, no kit), but I do think it can look a bit tacky with the FMIC sitting there and nothing else once that grill has been taken out.

This is part of the reason why I havnt gone for a FMIC (yet)....

You did a great job tomee imo.
Only things I would do differently is spray the cooler black and mount those spacers.
