Ant,

Do you have any other pictures of your car? I'm interested to see what those wheels look like from other angles. Also, what sizes are they?

They look similar to a set i've ordered via import monster (but in 18x9 and 19x10). they havent arrived yet, and im itching to see them on a jzs147.

heres what im waiting for:

They are a JDM brand "Styling Break" I believe, bought them from a member on here who is in Newcastle. 18x9.5 rears and 18x8.5 fronts.

Haven't got a lot of pics but I could get some more if this doesn't help

Thanks ant.

I guess they're different wheels, but close enough - yours are slightly squarer

Its a long story Razz But to put it short it stands for "New Driver" here in Canada. After a few driving suspensions they took me down a notch.

Cop "Do you know how fast you were going sir?"
Me "I swear that sign said 180+ km/h"

Ya lets just say he didn't find that joke amusing

Hey guys,

Very sorry for bringing up a very old post. I am in NZ and have just brought a JZS147. Now I have sitting at my house a couple of sets of rims. One is a very deep dish set of 18x10.5/ 18x12(-2) and I really want to fit them. They obviously stick out something stupid (with 160mm of dish!!) but I want to know if anyone knows where to either get a widebody kit or flares for the 147. I buy a lot of cars and parts of yahoo but thought someone on here might know something good for my application. Failing this I'll just wack on the 18x9 Meisters.

Oh and the car is going in for a paintjob but Im afraid if I do the big flare job it will crack.

Any help would be awesome. Im sure Im going to enjoy this forum with my new family car and all.

PS here is the car and it is not the best looking. Was a "V" Energy drink car but will be going black with new wheels. Has no stickers now and the grill is back to black.

18*9.5's, 3" lip. had these on the supra seen here for a bit, but they are now back on our aristo, same size all round, the 9.5's look awesome on the front, just a bit on the small size in comparison to the fronts, haha.

wanted the 5" lip, but they were only available on the 20*10s, and couldn't afford the extra Sad

Nah I paid cash which I think he used to bag his merc. The green actaully looks better in real life. The only thing is that the V guys painted the car, then put the sticker on and then clearcoated the car. Ive pulled the sticker off and looks bad lol. But its either black or charcoal so I didnt care. Next step is front mount and then a power FC I think.

QIWI - you didnt say the offsets on the front, but thats some fucking intense wheels. you will need some serious stretch on the tyres not to mention a fair amount of camber, along with fully custom flared guards. the only way to really do it would be to decide how much stretch you want on the tyres, fit those, then decide how much camber you are willing to run, get that setup, then put the wheel on and see where you are at. problem is the guards will probably just sit on the wheels and you wont really know how much they could tuck in. You'll need to go real wide though on the flaring. I would try and get a body shop to do the flares from metal, at least at the back. you wont really be able to just flare your current guards cause theyll look shit like a verandah cause there probably wont be enough metal to shape nicely. You'll need to either get them flared out and snipped around their radius so they kind of fan out, and then get them smoothed and glassed over (and then be careful with them) or just get the standard guard metal cut out or added on to so they have more material to work with and can get a nice shape. Or like you say, buy some universal type flares and either bolt them on or get them moulded into the bodywork, again though the paint may crack. custom metal is the best bet but aint gonna be cheap!
