dammiT! i gonnna be checkin on that, no doubt it be bare metal n start to rust.
The compliance guy wacked some kind of rubber thing around mine so it looks like it will be OK for quite some time. Anyway, I don't think I'll be owning the car for long enough to be worrying about rust!
are u's talkin about side ones on the front quater panel ... ? if so i dont have any
Really? And your compliance guy signed off on it? That is an ADR requirement that must be met. The compliance guy could lose his licence if someone inspected your car...
I'm talking about the side indicators in the guards. And my compliance plate was sitting in the glove-box, but i think i've lost it, they couldn't find a spot in the engine bay to pop rivet it somewhere.
The only thing i had to do to compliance it was to put child restraint hooks in the parcel shelf.
And all i did was drill some holes in parcel shelf, and put some plugs in them.

I am pretty sure we are all talking about the same indicators. You would have got away with it because you came through as a personal import, which is nowhere near as regulated as RAWS.
Okays Guys,...
I'm wanting to get the clear side indicators soon..
So - which ones should i order?
The Mitsubishi Outlander ones (part number???)
Or some Toyota Ones? (part numner??)
I bought ones from the following site for the Supra i had (MKIV)..
Do you know if they'll do the job?
http://www.ozeparts.com.au/
($40.15 plus $9 postage... Less if your a member on their site - which i am) _________________
Did Raw imports comply your car? If so they used the mitsubishi 380 side repeaters on mine. 12 bux each from the local mitsu spare parts and a direct swap with a bit of soldering skills.
Not sure
But it has orange indicators, and they're kinda an oval like yours..
Oh well there is a mitsubishi dealer down the road from Ben's place...
so might pop in and see them about it..
do you happen to know the part number for the clear ones? _________________

Just ask for clear ones for the 380.
The reason everyone uses mitsi ones is theyre about a quarter of the price of everywhere else, for no other reason than that mitsi arnt trying to rip everyone off
Or go for somewhere else to get that "Unique" look _________________

Just be careful as I got my 'clear' ones off Ebay and found I had to modify them slightly to get them to fit into the panel. A rasp came in handy. ie cheap Chinese ones compared to Genuine Mitsubishi.
The part number above is all you need. They should be able to work it out from there.
If your compliance was done by RAWs then you will more than likely be better off getting the clear 380 indicators. I picked up a pair for $26 just the other day.
