The thing that is pissing me off about my car now is how brittle the rubber hoses in the engine bay have become. I pulled off the pipe from air box to the steel intake pipes, and a fair chunk at one end has come off, so now am at a slight risk of stuff going into my turbos

I had to replace the same pipe due to how brittle it had become

rememebr that most of these cars are 10 to 15 years old now, the rubber in the engine bay is bound to be adversely affected by the heat

So, why did you choose an Aristo?

Becasue I wanted a 6 Cylinder that wasn't a Falcodore. Big Power, reliable and nice looking.

What are your impressions of the car?

A Sport/Luxuary car that turns heads and gets people thinking "WTF is that thing? It's nice"

What do you dislike about the car?

It's heavy and it expensive to insure and get parts for and i can't make up my mind what rims i want on it. FUCKING DECHROMING OF THE SERIES 2 TAIL LIGHTS! (anyone know how to repair that?)

What do you love about the car?

It's rare, fast, so very stylish, easy to clean/detail, 2JZ reliability, all the latest features of a late model car, Hell, even some more features, Not many cars these days have electric everything.

going to breath life into this thread.
why an aristo? I'm an impulse buyer, when I was in college(2006), in electrical theory class. myself and two friends were looking up japanese (rhd cars). It was pure fluke I stumbled upon an aristo. At the time I had two kids, ( three now) So 4doors, auto so the wifey could drive it. I always wanted a supra for the 2jz, so when I seen it came with a 2jz inside I was sold. It took a short period to talk the wife into it, and a short period to find the one I wanted. 3 months later it was at my door step.

my impressions, japanese people smoke to much!! it took me a good year to get the smoke smell out. luxury, yes. comforatable, yes. fast, yes. the only one around that owns one, yes. absolutely love the car. still three and a half years later. (i've never owned a car this long).

what do I dislike about it? automatic trans, lazy, seemed to hit boost mid corner always.(let off it upshifts, stay in it and risk spinning out. So I installed an r-154 mk3 5-spd. I wish I had of gotten one with leather. it requires constant maitenance.

what did I like about it?
everything else, noone else has one, but most of all 2JZ-GTE.

So, why did you choose an Aristo?

Originally had a Cressida, it died a HOT painful death, forcing me to look for another car. Always wanted a Supra came close to buying one, but consulted a mate and he told me about the Aristo. Tossed up between a Chaser and an Aristo, but liked the Aristo better, more luxurious but still 2JZ power.

What are your impressions of the car?

Luxury sports sedan that turns heads, and looks damn sexy dropped on their ass.

What do you dislike about the car?

Nothing. Really.

What do you love about the car?

Rare, luxurious with a 2JZ engine, what more do you want?

you might feel small, but your caps are making you sound huge LOL

I still stop at work to look at my Aristo in the carpark and I've owned it for almost two years. That's a good sign that I picked the right car Smile

i used to get into trouble when i worked at autobarn for taking customers for a drive on my lunch break.
they would come in to the store like they had just seen a jet car out side with huge grins on their faces. i would walk up to them and they would say stuff like ..

"holy sh!t man there is the maddest cream aristo dropped on its balls in the car park outside!! "

and i would say i know its mine Smile

thats the best thing about owning a aristo. the excitment it creates when people with car knowledge see it and recognise its not a everyday toyota.
