I'll have my two tone anyday as looks clean even when its dirty as black picks every lil bit of dust & looks shocking as you can see all the imperfections like scratches / buff marks / dust ewww Sick

A near perfect match for the Black Onyx 202 available from local auto paint suppliers off the shelf is EMPRESS BLACK. I used it to paint my front bar and side skirts.

if you have a minute jamie,
just reading that there is 2 codes for pearl, now my car is a 94 with code 046 as you
would expect, but i have been to 3 or 4 different paint shops ,to get the right colour, useing 046
from under the bonnet, its a hell of a lot lighter (the touch up paint) than the car colour,
the last place i went to, did say is there more than 1 pearl code for these cars ,

maybe hard to answer, but is the 051 code darker than the 046,
my car colour is like a very, very light brown pearl, if that makes sense
its defanatly not stark white, like the touch up paint i keep getting
all the best nick.....

hey i actually work for a paint company, in the refinish lab so i can get you the correct colour codes, and the tinters list for the colours (assuming you use PPG paint). You will have to wait until monday though :p

Hey Nick, certainly are two codes.....to my knowledge and from having two cars side by side comparision the 046 has alot more of a grey tinge to it then the 051 which is definetly more of a pearly white look to it for certain.

As you've posted up Nick yours is the 046 with the more browny pearl as i'll do a comparision for you once i get some of my spare doors that i know a 046 and put them next to my car and take a pic for you Smile

cheers Jamie

hey jamie,
hows the family mate , all ok i hope,
thanks jamie, but no need, as per one of the blokes here,i have looked up paint codes from
i think it was lexus australia,
all the touch up paint i get is WAY to light for me, for all i know my girl might have been resprayed
if it has they done a damn good job,
after about an hour going through all the codes, i came up with, SAND DOLLAR PEARL 4R2,
its a lexus colour they used from 1998 to 07,
hard to garrantee from the site but looks a lot more like mine than 046,
may be a bit too dark, but i can lighten it up with all the o46 i have sitting around,
worth a try ,all the best mate nick............... Very Happy

If it's not like the colour on your info plate, why don't you remove your petrol filler cap, go down to your nearest proper auto paint supply place and they will match it for you.
