Just wondering if anyone has attempted this?
I would rather do it myself if possible than pay someone to come out and do it.

Not completely sure how it works though...
I understand on some tyres, sanding back will reveal a white rubber layer.
Businesses specialising in whitewall engraving actually use their own latex based paint.

that is all I know, hoping someone can shed some light on how to do this Smile

I would imagine one would need to use a certain type of tape to protect the tyres if using the paint method. cutting the tape into a perfect circle and keeping it off the car is another issue...

thanks for the suggestions guys.

will try to find out more about the tennis court paint. considering it sticks to tarmac + maintains itself despite being walkedx all over itd have to be resiliant enough to use on car tyres. will definatelly look into that one. I believe the mobile white wallers use latex based paint , so i might look into that as well.

will update this topic if anything interesting happens...

the stuff used on white wall tyres is an air cooled rubber, so that it can flex and not crack etc
i would suggest getting it done professionally, ive had it done twice on a previous car, it was $70 each time, though i think it costs $80 now (this is in adelaide btw)
