So decided to hit the drags tonight to see what 356rwhp will give at the track in a stock auto Aristo.... My best time to date was 13.9 @ 102 (stock).
Ran a Coupla 12 sec 113mph passes, best being 12.93 @ 113.64. Reckon it had a bit more in it but didn't want to push it too hard (leaving the line fairly soft & 17-18psi boost, which is what i have wound it up to on the wide band).
Pic from the 12.93 @ 113.64 run:
So where to from here?
There's a good half a sec in a MV shift kit and convertor ($600) but the way i see it, she drives too nice now with the stock auto to fuck with it. If the car wasnt my daily i'd consider it though (as a shift kit will prolong the life of the box, even though stock they have a rev limit to limit torque whilst the box changes under WOT).
But still pretty happy for $734 in mods from standard to give safe reliable power & backed up with 12 sec passes @ 113mph at the track
Next time out there will be in the 'big single' Skyline though..... So cant see the Aristo getting any quicker anytime soon. _________________
Just so happens i just took a pic of it for another forum i frequent:
Cheers mate, I'm pretty pleased with the time & especially MPH, 113.64 is huge (considering the car).... was only expecing around the 108-110. _________________

That is huge.. do you still have speed cut? I would guess not considerin that MPH!
0-Speed cut in under 13s is crazy fast for this barge. _________________

so this car just has a front mount, exhaust, FCD and a boost controller and its running 113 mph!
i love twin cam's lol glad to see the autos in these are that tuff. its pretty much the main reason i want one (over a stagea or a JC Cosmo).. Ive got a fully manualised jatco in my vl, but would prefer to have a 'standard' box in the next car, and this box only runs as fast as that anyway!
Pretty much..... Just over $700 in mods from stock is all she has.
Should take it out next Wed night mate.
Now who thinks these cars are going to get farking popular now?
I dunno if i have 265RWKW though... you've got a bloody good engine to get that much power from bolt-ons.
Although, Mr 1JZ got 255rwkw on 16psi...
I've changed a few things since last time ive had it on the dyno, still been making sure its safe on the wide band meter though.
But i ran a few sums this morning as to what power it would have been making lastnight, trap speed of 113.64 indicates about 275rwkw / 374rwhp given around ~1750kg race weight (perhaps even more, as 1750kgs would be quite conservative). _________________
