why not stagger?
9.5 +12 would be good up back but quite angry up front. conversely, 9.5 +30 up front will be pretty mild up front but very mild up back. (depending on ride height and such)
but if you arent rolling guards then you are always going to have to be like 20mm sunk cause that is the guard lip :/

They will, but your far better off getting the correct sized wheels in the first place since you havnt actually bought them yet. Do it right the first time _________________
Wheel spacers will fix the problem, i just bought an aristo with 18x9 +44 all round with a 10mm spacer on the front and ~30mm spacer up the back, the fitment was spot on at the rear, the rims was a few mm out of the guard and a few mm in on the front.
The car was sitting with the guard about an inch above the tyres. So in 18s the following offsets and widths would be quite ideal if your looking for the "flush" look
Front
8 +20
8.5 +25
9 +30
Rear
9 +20
9.5 +25
10 +30
That should give you a fairly good idea of what will get you a flush look in some common width rims. Obviously the camber you run and how low you have the car will influence the fitment as Ant has mentioned previously. Those offsets wont give the exact same look but are only a few mm off one another.
Spacers, i've read in a few places, void your insurance, so i wouldnt risk it. I have taken my spacers off and they wont be going back on, especially cos i broke 2 of the studs on one of the front spacers

its all opinion though, and also if you do guard work. to be flush, you CANT have sotck guards because stock guards have a lip underneath that prevents flushness. you need to roll or shave. if you roll you will probably still have some lip underneath, to avoid hitting this you stretch tyres, add camber, or have less offset.
i am sunken up front and i have 9 +27 front and im okay out back at 10 +24. guards rolled all round. but i still manage to scrub a bit up front and sometimes up back. but thats cause of the lip. i am at -2.4 camber al round.
you really just need to look around a lot and find a setup you like and try to match. you wont ever nail it on your first set though :/
the thing is mate, the rear can always take more than the front cause it doesnt turn. So you generally want staggered/wider rims up back. this also allow you to run bigger tyres if you like for more grip. Additionally, anything 8" or less is basically impossible to stretch tyres on to cause you cant get big tyres that narrow, so that is another consideration.
guys how will 17x9.5 + 12 go on the fronts?? i know 18's will stick out and need guards rolled but will this be with 17's also?? i really am thinkin bout getting them .... how will these be on the rear if got a different pair for the fronts?? _________________
