Unless you cook them, your only cleaning the outside. Plus while apart, you can fuck the orange bit off.

When i wash my car i go over my headlights with the meguirs "paint cleaner" (i use on the paint to if needed), takes about 5 mins and brings them up real nice. Doesnt last very long (until next wash) but its not too bad for the time it takes

i find just using the NXT Tec Wax stuff on the lights brings them up pretty well, or as good as they are going to be without taking the lights apart

might put it on the to do list if i can get tomorrow off

A standard orange globe does the job.

i didnt see plast x when looking, all the US guys said to try it but yeah i never found it. i got Meguirs Plastic Polish which is designed for motorbike plastics, screens etc. It works okay, but mine on my 160 seem to have some UV coating that has gone yellowed and it doesnt come off. so they appear shiny but go dull within a week or so. helps if im going to something and want the car to look good 1-off, but doesnt last Razz

Mine were from car toys......... invoice reads:

Item code: 9E-BU481LEDA
Description: Ultra Amber LED Indicator Bulbs OPP
Price: $31.50, for the pair.

They come with the resistor packs, need to solder those in parallel.

I prefer using some of this.

It might sound silly, but the ingredients in lube actually help to polish the headlights up nicely. I do suggest people try it.

im a bit iffy about sonax....i used some of thier "glass foam" or whatever and it is the single worst automotive cleaning product ever

i had to actually wash the car again to get the stuff off my glass cos it just smeared and looked greasy

that plast-x stuff works well i use it on all the car yard crap they all come up very well sometimes you need to sand them first with 1200 or 2000 if they are very dull,
but still it only last for a few weeks
but if you have money to burn just change them with the uk spec headlights like i have no more yellow lenes ever

hey guys umm we had this same topic up a while back. anyways i have tried this one stuff a while ago. i have pics of how i went with it. used that about 2months ago now and bro used the plastix stuff on his 33 same day i think or a few days after. anyways my lights are still clear and bros car has gone to same shit yellow. haven't washed the car so kinda a little dirty but still way way better then the yellow i used to get from using plastix stuff after 2 weeks. but will come up once i clean them. works by u applying a polish and filler to fill all little tiny cracks in the light and then use some coating stuff like 3 drops and it becomes a skin which is supposed to last years....
i got pics of before and after and ill clean the lights up on saturday and take pics again and post it up. let you guys decide...

I was thinking about this a couple of weeks ago and thought that if someone's mate/bro/sis/whatever was a plastic fabricator, they could just get a mould of the plastic front cover and make like tons of clear ones and sell them to us.

Or would that not work?

Would need a pretty serious injection mold to make them....... not cheap.
