ok hopefully getting a bodykit for me car and thinking of turning it all pearl white instead of the silver bottom where is the best/cheapest place to source this from. When i got the roo damage fixed the bloke said for a litre of my white was like $580 seems a bit dear

are you planing to paint it your self or something ?? it will be just a lot cheaper to get a panel beater to paint it for you , if you want to buy the paint just rember u will have to buy 3 lots of paint
( it is a 3 layer pearl ) u will need the white base coat the pearl and clear and also hardener plus a few tints,
to paint it in 3 layer pearl with no damage to the car i would say you will be looking at aroung $600 to do the lower half
not $580 just for the paint

was planning on doing it myself as my job is to paint submarines so we have spray guns and a painting booth what do you mean by tints i thought i could give the code to the paint shop and they will give me the right paint?

well yes they will mix it up as per it reads in the book, but prob be a long way off as even tho the paint on your car may look good it will of changed colour scince new and also different brands of paint will be different colours ,natural \ artificial pearls will give a differnt effect
the best way to do it is match the base coat from inside the boot lid or under the carpet ,mix that up that way

ok got a quote today said about $1200 bucks just for the body kit said he can get the pearl white paint for just over $400 a litre bit dear if ya ask me anyone know a cheaper place in s.a

cost me $200 to get top part of front and rear bars painted in the pearl white with him doing all prep work and getting paint not to sure how much he bought though
