Hi Guys,

Question: Choice of tyres???

I've had my Aristo now close to 2 years and in that time have run two different types of tyres.
As I previously had a SC400 running Nankangs NS2's I brought a set for the Aristo.
225 45 18s and rear = 265 35 18s ....... Happy until fronts and rears gave our early due to wheel alignment issues. Because the Nankang's weren't available that time of replacement I was recommended to go with Federals - I have found them to be noisy and have no life!!
My rears are becoming slick and Im in the hunt for two more 265 35 18s.

Question: what make? performance vs wear vs price? What do you think? All comments could be useful ..............

Cheers!

anywhere can get there hands on them, there tyre whores ahhaha. for the best prices i think somewhere like bob jane?

fed's are silica based so it amazes me that noise was an issue from them, ive always used them on my Van and was supplying them to the drift boys in WA for about a year or so as they are pretty good grip for the $$ untill we found cheaper (accellera's), Nangkangs are one of my least favorite tyres but as the guys have said... if you dont wanna spend big money the kumho is a good tyre.

RUSTY P,hi mate, just tryed that site to!!!!its crap???
this is the way i get my tyres from the man!!!! i punch in (tyres 18 inch EBAY)
and go through all there is to offer!!!!
in there will be st george tyres,i am running WANLI TYRES,bloody good tyres!!!!!
and 9 tmes out of 10 ,he puts in the discription, who makes the tyre!!!!!!
read the fine print,IE::::
UNDER LICENCE FROM YOKY/MICH/ECT,ECT.......
or it will say same tread patten as this or that!!!!!
used to go for the big name brands only!!!!! but they wear out just as quick as the cheaper ones!!!!
hope this helps!!!!!!!!!! Smile Smile

ps:::i check his site at least every 7 to 10 days, and every now and again he will have super specials
like???he only has 2 tyres left,of a perticular size/brand,and i grab them (super cheap!!!!!) Cool Cool

I seem to remember he's an old bloke Razz

I run Yoko's, but only because i get them cheap. Not saying they are crap tyres, they are awesome, but are expensive and wear a bit quicker than other brands. I wouldnt buy them at RRP.

I love Yokohama's, used to run AVS V102's on the BMW, but they were $400 a corner in a 17" and lasted like 15,000km.

http://www.tempetyres.com.au/ ship pretty damn cheap, worth a call.

We run the KU31's on all 3 of our cars, Aristo, Liberty GT, and BA Falcon wagon (work car/pos), and couldn't be happier with them.
