Hey..

Just went and saw my baby finally, and she should be getting her RWC tomorrow to be registered.
Gavin said that the tyres that are on the 16s will not be passed at all (and they're on backwards haha)...

Soooo.. what i'm chasing is some stockies or ANYTHING that will fit her with good rubber on them that i could just borrow for tomorrow and Wed so i can get the road worthy and some other rubber on the 18s i have sitting in the garage.

I really really want her registered tomorrow, and this is the only thing we saw straight up that wont let her pass 'Road Worthy'...

Sooo.. if your in Brisbane and could lend me some wheels, please please please let me know..

Thanks heaps!

Jodes! Very Happy

you could always ask the compliance shop to lend you some? they should have heaps?

OR, use your other rims? are they not legal either?

got an idea, i have a perfect spare wheel and tyre you can use that and use your spare (if its decent) and then you just need 2 other rims.

Surely all 4 rims you have now arent rooted?

the rims arent rooted..
the tyres on them arent legal... all 4 are 'snow' tyres and arent Aust Standard! Smile
They're the ones that were on the 16s when they were put in over in Japan!! Sad

So yeah - kinda need 4 to borrow!!

May have to end up getting some 2nd hand ones tomorrow..
but would prefer just to borrow some...

tyres is one of the major complaince issues.
When you get the car registerd you have a CIN that says tyres have been replaced with brand and month and year codes. Department of transport will want to see thoses tyres other wise the complaince company will get a nice visist from DOTARS.

just a heads up.

ohh and they wont register your car untill thoese tryes are on it.

The compliance workshop would argue that the tyres have been changed since it left the workshop, which is true, the car wore a different set of rubber for compliance, just in case they got a visit.

The deal is supposed to be the same in VIC, but nobody checked the rubber on my car to ensure it matched what was written on the compliance paperwork. The compliance workshop said its the luck of the draw, some of the registration people check, others just look at the obvious numbers to make sure they line up.
