Not very quick imo.
Excuses: Didnt launch at the right rpm, got heaps of wheelspin until around 80kph and it was in TTC mode.

If i put it in sequential i recon i would knock a good 1/2 second on the time, but hey, im not complaining, at least she didnt blow up! Nervous

Mods:
justjap cooler and backyard bits piping
cat back zaust
pod
16psi
mines ecu
tranny cooler (is that even a mod Confused )

yeah, the time is bullocks.

I left some nice black lines though, so they must have been spinning a bit.
I might try again soon. You can actually see when both turbos come online @ 40kph, the speedo starts to jump really quick.

Its amazing the difference if i look at Tntdan's run. Similar mods, but he has no pussy cats Cool . Dropping them out seriously jumps the torque figures up.

Not to hijack the thread too badly, but....

Do you need to keep both felines or is one enough? (for a happy EPA that is)

Thought you may be in the know Ben.

one cat is perfectly fine. Both should have been replaced with a single during compliance.

I still have the one in the downpipe and the one in the normal posistion (about mid car).

Which one should they have taken out?

both stock cats arent ADR compliant and should have been replaced. Who did your compliance?

The one mid car looks like its been replaced, and the complier told me only one was replaced.

So the one in the downpipe should have been done too? I was planning to remove this one or at least punch the guts out of it so I dont have overboost issues.

Compliance was done by DCI in Wangara (Perth)

ok cool, they are just lazy, lol.

As long as you have one ADR compliant cat, you're fine. The other cat causes heaps of restriction though, so you might want to get it removed and replaced with a downpipe.

I also have 2 cats (and some dodgy piping haha)...
Had the same on my Supra too...
To save effort during compliancing.. they must just fit a 2nd cat further down the exhaust (towards the middle) instead of getting the first std one off - because its up in there a bit... And it says they have to fit a cat.. so they just do it the easy way... leave the 1st one on there, and just fit one for compliance!

I had the 2nd Cat taken off the supra because it was shotty... but left the 1st (std position) one on there...
May end up doing the same with the Aristo at some stage - and get some better bends/pipe...

slightly off topic - what is a reasonable price to pay to have the first cat removed? mine is still in there and it needs to be killed. it makes rotten egg smells occasionally.

That's the second bad word i've had about DCI's compliance job...
Yet when I went through they were upfront with it and told me straight out they needed to pull the front one and replace it with no pipe, and replaced the rear one with a nice one.
I would give them a call and say they owe you a pipe.. they should give you one.

Just correcting you Jodes - you'll find the stock Aristo comes factory with 2 cats. (they don't add one)
For compliance they must remove the front one completely, and change the second one for a new ADR one.

Id expect up to $100 as its a bit fiddly up there.

My car still has the first (round) cat at the bottom of the down pipe.

Can different compliance places do different work, or do we have some dodgy places around?

Well my car has 2 cats on it atm..
Front one is still there, and 2nd one is one that was put on for compliance!!

Dan - same as mine - you'll probably have the 2nd Cat there too?
And some dodgy bends?!?! haha..
will get to and sort it out at some stage!

Yep - they replace the second cat with a new one, with some pre-pressed piping & bends.

Sounds like both our cars still have the first cat (round one at the end of the down pipe) but Ben is suggesting that it shouldn't be there?
