Nick, any idea on the difference between 199 and 176 (lighter, darker, special powers)?

No idea TBH, the EPC lists 176 as Super Silver and the 199 as Silver ME

I imagine there must be some sort of difference to warrant the number change.

Everyone who has said 199, what year is your car??

If they're '93 onwards then they might have changed numbers to coincide with the launch of the GS300.

Mines a Jun '93 so it'll be a good example of if it changes in that year.

I'll edit the post when I get back and have a look.

Just call me find it man! Very Happy

Don't forget, this is for the GS300, so the dates may be different to the Aristo and it is from the internet so it may not be 100% right. Already I am not seeing the 199 code going through to '97 like rob's car proves! Not a bad guide though.

BTW, mine is August 1996.

Cheers,

Chris
