i have 22x10s on my aristo ...with 295/35 R22 tires. they fit with the plastic guards still in place on the rear . the front need pretty aggresive offset to clear the struts along with seriously lipped and pumped guards. dont expect to go a low ride height tho...
22s look about the right size for aristo guards. do what makes you happiest.

ill upload some pics later tonite if i get time. i have since got 265/35 r22 for them . they came off a chevy blazer so they originally had pretty chunky tread .

keep in mind ,airbag suspension does make it easier for me when it comes to actually driving the car Smile

my other aristo has 17x8.5 jap rims by comparison

yeah the aristo has a way of making even ridiculous rims look really small Very Happy 22inches by 10 is amazing to tuck in factory rear guards... on any car.
