OK WENT TO "J CAR" WITH MY STUFFED 12 INCH IN HAND...??...NICE FELLA DONE HIS BEST
TO HELP ME...GOT ANOTHER SUB (SHALLOW FIT..CAUSE ,I WANT TO KEEP THE AIR THING..???)
AND BOUGHT A COVER FOR IT....
DICKED ABOUT FOR BLOODY AGES.....TRYING THE BEST WAY TO FIT THE A/M SUB..????
IN THE END TOOK THE SMALL SPACER RING OFF THE STOCKER,AND PUT THIS UNDER THE
A/M ONE AND SCREWED IT DOWN IN THE HOLE ..!!!
PLACED SOME DYNAMAT UNDER THE BLOODY COVER WITH THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT ON IT,
AND PLACED A COUPLE OF SCREWS THOUGH THIS ,TO HOLD IT TIGHT..???
REPLACED THE 3 CHILD BOLTS, COUPLED THE SUB ,UP AND HIT THE AUDIO...!!!!
AS I CRANKED IT UP....ALL WAS GOOD,BLOODY REAL "DEEP" BASS FROM THE THING,
TILL MY AIR UNIT ,IN THE BOOT STARTED TO MAKE ALL SORTS OF BLOODY ,RATTLES AND BANGS..????
SO WILL HAVE A LOOK TOMORROW,AND SEE IF I CAN SHUT THIS THING UP..????

mine is in and bloody sounding great..!!
not that i know a lot about audio /sounds/ and stuff ?...but for me it sounds really good..!!
anyway to the point....below are pics, of what i purchased from j-car....
cost me ..a crisp $50....and this thing fits all ok without reefing the air thing out..!!
and u audio geeks, would know more than me here..???
it weighs 5 times more than the stocker..???
yep.....ben, what it was ...was the "door" for the carbon filter fitment for the air thing..!!!!
so just pulled it out and run a slither of silicone down both sides of the "door"
let it dry and put it back..!!!....job done..!!!!

I went in to the store and they had 1 left on the shelf. The price on the shelf was about $100 but I thought what the hell, still cheaper than anything else. Took it to the counter it was $49 and the guy said 'shit, they have come down a bit'.
So grab one while they are still there as it looks like a limited product/price

These fit in with the stock air puri yeh?
I'm unsure whether I should go that and sell my current sub, so I can keep the airpuri (for the wank factor) or whether I should just rip it out and stick my current sub in. It's a special "open air" sub for putting into non-enclosed (or large) spaces, which the boot is. That cheap one seems alright tho.. 250wrms... tho the Re is quite low _________________

the only thing i dont like about the risto boot is the flaps in the lower left, which i assume is for venting potential fumes from the tank! i stuck my Type X and M850 amp in the boot, bootlid rattled off its nuts, but since the boot isnt sealed (vents and the sub in the shelf isnt there) it wasnt loud enough!!! all the wiring is there so am looking for a free air sub......coz i need boot space coz missus is in a wheelchair....may have to pop into J-car soon! _________________
