Is there any one out there who owns one of these front bumpers. The Kazz Type I i think. It is the one with the huge front opening.

I want some measurements of the front opening, at a minimun I would love to know how tallk the opening is? Is it anywhere near 10 inches or 254 cm's? I have one on the way but I want to go ahead an mock up the intercooler and need to know if the intercooler needs to go behind the bumper support or can it sit underneath it.

I am using a Spearco intercooler 28 * 10 * 3.5

That picture looks like the bumper, is the poster the owner?

Like I mentioned before I just want to know how tall that opening is.

I wonder who if anyone is running this bumper in the u.s.

I have yet to see one

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it.

With the Precision Turbo 67mm dual ball bearing and the spearco intercooler and conversion over to usdm injectors.

I should have a pretty stout little daily driver.

I believe I am the only one in the US with a complete kit. I might be mistaken, but I know of no one else owning the complete kit...

And I made the mouth smaller! Feel free to flame. lol I dont care, since I am aiming to build a vip styled spotrty car anyways.

Aero:
Bought it on ebay, cheap for what it is, pretty damaged.

Basically reconstructed missing pieces of fiberglass andfixed many of the cracks present.

Front bumper work:

Added the vents and reduced the size of the intercooler opening

Front bumper now it is primered and ready to wetsand.

Rear bumper:
The exhaust openings were designed for a single fartcan of about 3.5"... I want two 3" polished stainless pipes coming out of each opening. Extended the openings to fit what I wanted and fixed many cracks and chips.

Ready to wetsand as well!

Sideskirts: just repaired the damage and because of the design, I cannot add vents... not like I wanted to anyways. Fitted them as you can see in the earlier pic. Perfect.

Pic of finished bumpers:

Cause it is an out-of-the-box design... tired of seeing the same kits on vip's jzs's and I stumbled upon this kit which is my favourite of all time... and btw, the car will be red too, so rather different Smile

I worked as a bodyman/painter/prepper for a very prestigious body shop in tucson. We fixed many cars for the barret -jackson auctions and we specialized in high end euros and lexus. I worked there for about 7 years. After 2007, I quited to do it more as a hobbie than as a job and started working for Intuit. Now I am a senior IT for one of the accountant groupes but I still do bodywork as a sidejob. I like doing it so, why the heck not right? Very Happy

Cutting-in the car

The goods:
Color: 3PO in the Toyota color chip: I am actually going to use a dark grey metallic base to make the color a bit darker. Tought of a candy red but candies are such a pain in the buttocks to take care of; since this is going to be my daily, a solid red will have to do since I do not want to deal with fading.

The lab:

Cutting in:

All edges cut.

Right now:

The original kit:

How it will look finished:
