Just a question to those with a Sunroof..

When closing/opening it, do you have the option to 'one-touch' the button for it to automatically open/close?
Mine just doesnt do it... so not sure if they all are like that, or if mine is faulty...

Also - the Soarer one from memory looks similar to the Aristo one..
Does the Soarer sunroof have the automatic one touch option?
If so - i want that in mine (as long as its the same)

None of them have the automatic one touch open (dammit even my commodore had this, although they did use german roofs)

And you have to cop the two stage close function too - safety - this is the same in any brand new lexus

well.. i dont get how mine works but when i give it a press it actually opens all the way itself. sometimes halfway though. i have to play around with it to get it to open just a little bit.

the auction report for my car said the sunroof was broken.. but it works fine as far as i can tell, with the exception of it opening all the way when i dont want it to!

farker....
Ben's BMW has it, same as dad's x-trail.. so much better then having to hold the button..
and the safety stop thingy.. man thats annoying too!!

Any idea if the Soarer has the auto one touch thingy? and if its the same lil controller as the aristo's?

Bugger....
thats just crazy..
Its not lazy at all - its just handy to have the one touch - cause its annoying to have to hold the button down in the Aristo when in the other 2 cars i drive now and then have the one touch thingy!!

I've looked into this, and seen schematics for wiring a relay into the switch so it does open/close fully when pushed.
It doesn't seem that hard to mod.

I have to hold mine all the way, but it doesnt stop in the middle while opening. It stops in the middle while closing. I have to take my finger off the button, and then press it again.

Why is that a safety feature? I thought it was just something to get it halfway? lol.

So you can't close it with your kids fingers, or your girls hair stuck in there.

If you wanted it to stop half way, you'd just take your finger off when it gets to half.
