How many 161 owners do we have on the forum?
I really like them and love to hear there comments about there cars?
What are the differences between the two models power, gadgets, weight, performance, and drivabilty?
I really want one but rarely see much spoken about them?
Are you allowed to import them or not?
Thanks Tim

What about near future JZS161 owners? I am serious, as soon as I have the money I'm getting one!

If you want one Tim, throw us some money, we'll 'look' after it for 12months and bring it back for you?

Very Happy

Chris

Wouldn't mind one, it would be pretty cool to have the new and old side by side in the garage!

And to answer original question:
No you cannot import them.

Except 'personal imports' ie what Chris has mentioned doing.

I reckon grab a 99-2000 model one, whack a standard 147 halfcut in it. As said, fuckoff the vvti and that. Not worth it. Just go normal gte... much easier to control the management. You try and get your tuner to tune in the whole vvti shit and most will just cry. It's just too much work for not enough gain..
