You what it actually was lol.

It wasn't your comment, it was sbyder's comment from 2007 that I should have quoted. I didn't even realise it was from that far back until after I posted.

I'll go back to being a grumpy cunt on Facebook for the rest of the night.

Haha I feel you

Ah okay my fault, I thought you were having a go at me. All good! Facebook is the biggest rage inducing thing I can think of. All you need to do is read comments on a post from a group and you lose all faith in humanity.

ill drain 1.8 liters or so tomorrow. Theres definitely too much in there

All good.

Just don't drain any out if the dip stick reads correctly with engine running.

Great thread turned to shit.

THE TRANSMISSION HOLDS 8LITRES.

The trans pans holds 2-3, 1-2 is held above the valve body, 3-4 litres in the stall converter.

How do I know, I've done 4 services and 2 tranny installs just in the last 4 months.

hey gerardo so the 12L that sbyder was saying is wrong?? its only 8L??

i flushed 10 through mine...

youll never get all the old stuff out, so it could potentially hold 12L completely dry, but wet, you get a max of 7-10 litres...i dropped the pan on mine wen i flushed too, so i got more of the old shit out.

ive also taken the pan off twice now due to a leak...which is coming from wat i believe is the selector rod bearing. (idk wtf is goin on...

It holds 8lt. That's dry fill. So if you were to buy a brand new box without fluid it takes 8 litres to fill up.

It takes 12 litres to flush out most of the old fluid. It will keep mixing in the converter with the old stuff. Last time I pulled the converter out, drained it, filled it with a litre, swirled it around and drained it again. Then I put 2 litres in it before seating it on the input shaft.

Woggin, You sure you're not overfilling it and it's coming out the breather?
